THE FIRST YEAR WAS NOT FRUITFUL IN THE ORGANIZATION OF NEW CHAPTERS. THE FRATERNITY OF FREE MASONRY, WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUR WARMEST SUPPORTERS, WERE HOSTILE TO OUR ORDER AND EVEN THREATENED OUR EXISTENCE. OUR ORDER REQUIRED ALL THE FORTITUDE AND PATIENCE PORTRAYED IN THE LIFE OF ELECTA TO SURVIVE.

A MEETING TO ORGANIZE THE GRAND CHAPTER OF PENNSYLVANIA WAS HELD NOVEMBER 22,1894. THIS MEETING WAS CONSIDERED THE FIRST SESSION.

THE FIVE CHAPTERS REPRESENTED AT THE FIRST SESSION TO FORM THE GRAND CHAPTER OF PENNSYLVANIA WERE:

    WYOMING NO. 1

    KEYSTONE NO. 2

    MARTHA WASHINGTON NO. 3

    ST. JOHN'S NO. 4

    CANAWACTA NO. 5
